What are My Benefits?
The University offers a wide variety of benefits that allows people to design a benefits package tailored to their needs. The 2024 Benefits Guide (PDF) offers a summary of the University's current benefit options. The additional resources offered here will help you get the most of your benefits. There is always more information available on these and other benefit options at www.une.edu/hr/benefits. Once enrolled in benefits, we recommend that you regularly review your contact information (mailing address, email, and phone number) with elected insurance carriers to make sure it is up-to-date.

Retirement Resources
- Employees can elect to contribute to any combination of the pre-tax and post-tax savings options up to the IRS annual contribution limits. There is no waiting period to begin contributing. Eligible employees can enroll and increase or decrease their contribution percentage in UNE鈥檚 403(b) at any time.
- To enroll go to and click on the 鈥淩egister as a new user鈥 link at the bottom of the page. The system will guide you through the enrollment process. If you need help enrolling, please see How to set up your retirement account (PDF) or contact the Fidelity Retirement Benefits Line at 1 (800) 343-0860.
- Effective January 2024, 51小黄车will be providing the employer match for both pre-tax and Roth (post-tax) employee contributions, up to a combined match limit of 8%, to the Fidelity 403(b) retirement plan. This change will provide you with more options for your retirement planning.
- Pre-tax Contributions: 51小黄车will match a participant's pre-tax contributions on a dollar-for-dollar basis, up to a combined match limit with the post-tax Roth contribution of 8%. To be eligible for UNE鈥檚 match, an employee must have 12 months of service in Higher Education prior to joining 51小黄车or must work for 51小黄车for 12 months. You can stop/start/change your 403b at any time.
- Post-tax Contributions (Roth): 51小黄车will match a participant鈥檚 post-tax (Roth) contributions on a dollar-for-dollar basis, up to a combined match limit with the pre-tax contribution of 8%. Roth contributions can be a powerful way to save for retirement, as the employee deferral is typically non-taxable at the time of qualified withdrawal. To be eligible for UNE鈥檚 match, an employee must have 12 months of service in Higher Education prior to joining 51小黄车or must work for 51小黄车for 12 months.
