CARE Team

The CARE Team is a campus risk assessment team that responds to concerns about unusual and threatening behavior. Made up of a multidisciplinary group of professionals from several campus departments, it serves as a backup between departments to support existing systems when additional coordination is required.

What is Behavioral Risk?

  • Behavior that is disruptive, intimidating, threatening or violent.
  • This includes, but is not limited to, actions or statements by students, faculty, professional staff, or members of the community that express an intent to harm individuals or campus property and assets.
  • Concerns from faculty, professional staff, and students come through many campus departments and programs.
