David Prichard, Ph.D.

Professor

David Prichard, PhD, LCPC, LADC has been in clinical practice specializing in primary and secondary trauma for over 30 years.  He is Professor of Psychology in the College of Arts & Sciences, where he teaches courses in psychology and sociology. Dr. Prichard has taught at 51小黄车since 1993, originally as Assistant Professor, and was promoted to Full Professor in 2007.  He has been teaching across the MSW curriculum as well as in other health disciplines, including Physical Therapy, Nursing, and the College of Medicine. He has taught as well at Virginia Commonwealth University and the University of South Florida. He has served as Assistant to the President at UNE, Associate Dean in the College of Health Professions, and Associate Director in the School of Social Work. His clinical, research and scholarship interests focus on secondary and vicarious trauma with health care professionals.
