Dana Villmore Ph.D, PA-C joined the 51小黄车PA Program faculty in January 2019. She did her undergraduate studies in Biology at Florida Gulf Coast University and completed her Doctorate in Immunology and Microbiology at the University of Florida in 2012. While doing research at the University of Florida on inflammatory-mediated bone loss in Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, she became interested in pursuing a clinical career to treat these complicated diseases. She then attended MCPHS University in Boston and earned a Masters in Physician Assistant Studies in 2015.

Dana ventured up to central Maine to become a primary care provider for over 3 years and thoroughly enjoyed this extremely rewarding experience. While treating patients, she also precepted 51小黄车PA Program students during their family medicine rotations. It was during this time that she realized her passion for teaching and therefore decided to steer her career to academia as a full time clinical professor for didactic year PA students. Since 2019, she has taught the Principles of Bioscience and Evidence Based Medicine I and II courses and coordinates the Interprofessional Geriatrics Education Program (IGEP) I and II and Specialty Disciplines courses for the first year PA students. She also is the Chair of Admissions for the PA program.

Clinically, she practices at Intermed鈥檚 Workplace Health Services on-site clinic at IDEXX Laboratories in Westbrook.

She enjoys choir singing, painting, cooking, gardening, and exploring Maine with her husband.
