Angela has been a member of the University 51小黄车 Community since 1998 and has held various positions within the University particularly in the areas of Residential Education, Student Conduct, and New Student Orientation. As Title IX Coordinator, she is responsible for the University's compliance under Title IX of the Educational Amendments of 1972, providing awareness and prevention programming for students, faculty, and staff, and responding to concerns and complaints involving gender equity issues, harassment, and sexual and relationship violence.
In her role as Director of Title IX and Civil Rights Compliance, Angela provides support to employees and students with concerns or questions about harassment and/or discrimination based upon a person鈥檚 race, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and/or expression, ethnicity or national origin, religion, age, creed, color, genetic information, physical or mental disability, HIV status, or status as a veteran She collaborates with stakeholders across the institution to provide support for climate assessment and working with diverse individuals.
Angela received both a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and a Master's Degree in Student Development in Higher Education from the University of Maine. She also serves as an adjunct faculty member in the Department of Society, Culture and Languages.
