A group of students and faculty from the University of 51小黄车鈥檚 Doctor of Physical Therapy (D.P.T.) degree program recently participated in a panel interview for a nationally known podcast related to topics in physical therapy.

Two students and two faculty members from the Doctor of Physical Therapy department were interviewed for the a podcast hosted by physical therapist and communications professional Jimmy McKay, D.P.T.

The podcast was started in 2015 with the belief that 鈥渢he best conversations happen at happy hour.鈥 McKay created the podcast to keep practicing physical therapists informed about developments in the field and to share inspiring stories from students and professionals.

McKay came to UNE鈥檚 Portland Campus for the Health Sciences in mid-October to record the podcast and featured Ava Embrey (D.P.T., 鈥27); Kaden Hersel (D.P.T., 鈥25); Amanda Benner, PT, D.P.T. 鈥11, assistant director of clinical education for the D.P.T. program; and visiting lecturer Michelle Collie, PT, D.P.T. The group gathered at Portland鈥檚 Rising Tide Brewery following the taping. The episode, 鈥淟ive from the University of 51小黄车,鈥 aired on Oct. 25.
