Center for Excellence in Public Health faculty certified as project management professional
This April, following six months of preparation, Laurie Jevons, M.S., PS-C, PMP, program coordinator for Maine Substance Use Prevention Services within UNE鈥檚 Center for Excellence in Public Health, obtained her Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification from the .
This certification is held by more than 2 million project managers globally and is the top project management certification in North America. The PMP provides project leadership experience and supercharges careers for project leaders, helping organizations work smarter and perform better.
The PMP certification validates skill in three domains:
- People: soft skills to effectively lead a project
- Process: technical aspects of successful project management
- Business Environment: highlighting the connection between projects and organizational strategy
The PMP also establishes credentialing in three key skill areas, including predictive, agile, and hybrid approaches.
