UNE’s Christopher Rizzo named National Athletic Trainers’ Association award winner
Christopher Rizzo, M.S., LAT, ATC, associate clinical professor and clinical education coordinator in the Athletic Training program, was recently announced as a national award winner by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA) for his exemplary work over the past several years as the president of the Maine Athletic Trainers’ Association.
Rizzo, who was nominated by NATA’s District One director, Diane Sartanowicz, was one of only 23 people chosen to receive the Athletic Trainer Service Award, which recognizes NATA members for their contributions to the athletic training profession as a volunteers at the local and state levels.
Rizzo will receive the award at the annual NATA Convention and Athletic Training Expo, which will be held June 24-27 in Las Vegas.
NATA is the professional membership association for certified athletic trainers and others who support the athletic training profession.
