UNE鈥檚 Biddeford Campus Center presents artwork by local artist and psychologist R茅gis Langelier
An exhibition of artwork by local artist and psychologist R茅gis Langelier, Ph.D., will be on display at the University of 51小黄车鈥檚 Biddeford Campus Center from May 31 to July 1.
Titled 鈥淚nner-Outer Contemporary Climates,鈥 the exhibition invites its audience to ponder the relationship between nature鈥檚 contemporary statements and the corresponding human conditions of anxiety, insomnia, fury and calm. In this collection of 25 stimulating pieces, Langelier depicts dueling themes among the natural elements of the sea, mountains, sky, fire, borders, desert, and coastline, using mixed media to enhance his paintings. The human global condition, contemporary inner and outer climates, and striking statements from everyday nature are boldly portrayed in his work.
An opening reception will be held on June 1 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Campus Center.
A Canadian immigrant with a proud artistic family background, Langelier was trained in psychology at the University of Southern California and has worked as a clinical psychologist for four decades. He received art instruction from teachers in both Maine and Tucson, Arizona
