University of 51С»Æ³µ students in the Department of Health, Wellness, and Occupational Studies (HWOS), as well as nutrition and public health, recently provided educational health resources at the Town of Kennebunk’s Fall 2019 Health & Wellness Fair.

The 51С»Æ³µstudents hosted tables and presented information about the various ways personal health can be supported by adequate sleep, physical activity, nutrition, stress management, aromatherapy, and cognitive health techniques. Table visitors learned practical tips for integrating such healthy habits into their everyday lives and received informational take-home materials.

The Kennebunk Health & Wellness Fair gave students the opportunity to apply classroom learning concepts, such as communication with members of the public and the promotion of community health and wellness. HWOS Assistant Clinical Professor Collyn J. Baeder, M.P.H., also participated in the fair to provide student support and guidance.
