Doctor of Physical Therapy students represent 51小黄车at regional oncology conference
Three classes of University of 51小黄车 Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) students were represented at the spring meeting of the Northern 51小黄车 Clinical Oncology Society (NNECOS) Concord, New Hampshire.
The NNECOS spring meeting, 鈥淚nnovations in Cancer Care,鈥 represented oncology clinicians and students from Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont with continuing education sessions, platform and poster presentations, exhibitors and networking.
Student attendees were Nicole Marczak (DPT 鈥20), Andrew Chongaway and Alyssa Deardorff (DPT 鈥19), and Michala Williams (DPT 鈥18). Williams presented a poster of her case report on a cancer survivor as part of her coursework within the DPT program with the support of Assistant Clinical Professor Amy Litterini, PT, D.P.T. Her poster, "Improving Function and Fatigue for a Patient Status Post Thoracoabdominal Resection of a Gastric Tumor and Chemotherapy: A Case Report," received first place recognition at the conference.
