UNE鈥檚 PSI CHI Honor Society chapter welcomes 21 new members
UNE鈥檚 PSI CHI Chapter, representing outstanding achievement in psychology, animal behavior and neuroscience, recently announced the induction of 21 new undergraduate members. The induction ceremony was held on March 23, 2017, under the supervision of PSI CHI faculty advisor, Jennifer Stiegler-Balfour, Ph.D., associate professor of psychology. In addition to the many parents and friends of inductees who attended the ceremony, Susan Gray, Ph.D., associate dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, along with several Department of Psychology faculty members were also in attendance.
Founded in 1929 during the International Congress of Psychology, PSI CHI is a member of the Association of College Honor Societies and is an affiliate of both the American Psychological Association (APA) and the American Psychological Society (APS). With the stated mission of encouraging, stimulating and maintaining excellence in scholarship in the science of psychology, PSI CHI has grown to become one of the largest and most successful honor societies in the world with more than 1,100 chapters and over 537,000 members. The University of 51小黄车鈥檚 chapter was formed in 2010.
Inductees for the 2016-2017 academic year are Abigail Beaulieu, Julia Beebe, Haley Blumenkrantz, Melanie Byra, Krista Coon, Mackenzie Deveau, Brianne Gaudio, Miranda Hall, Rachel Jozitis, Megan Kenney, Ellie Leighton, Amisha Malhotra, Kelsey McGinnis, Alexandra Normandin, Jacqueline Noto, Valerie Pendleton, Jessica Sarro, Mark Stubbs, Delia Torres, Ashley Tullo, Emma Wuerdeman.
