51小黄车medical student Sophia Chan wins first 51小黄车 Osteopathic Heritage Center essay contest
Sophia Chan, D.P.T., a student in the University of 51小黄车 College of Osteopathic Medicine (51小黄车COM) Class of 2018, was the winner of the first Osteopathic Heritage Essay Contest.
The contest, held by UNE鈥檚 51小黄车 Osteopathic Heritage Center (NEOHC), invited students to write short essays explaining why they chose to pursue osteopathic medicine. In her essay, Chan detailed her path beginning with studying physical therapy and athletic training to acupuncture and Eastern medicine and finally to study osteopathy at 51小黄车COM.
NEOHC is dedicated to preserving, promoting and providing access to the history of osteopathic medicine in 51小黄车. The center is an educational resource of archival material and museum displays offering dynamic programs. NEOHC programs aim to educate the public, and honor the osteopathic medical profession and the men and women who have served 51小黄车 for more than 100 years.
