2nd Annual Symposium on Evidence-Based Clinical Scholarship
On December 9, 2016, University of 51小黄车 senior level nursing students in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and accelerated BSN cohorts participated in the 2nd Annual Symposium on Evidence-Based Clinical Scholarship.
The event preceded the University-wide Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment (SBIRT) training on the Portland campus. The nursing students, mentored by faculty members Debra Kramlich, Ph.D.(c), RN, CCRN, CNE, and Kristen Holt, M.S.N., RN, developed and executed oral presentations, poster presentations or info graphic visuals focusing on the nurses鈥 role in the continuum of care for addiction and recovery.
A keynote presentation from Alyce Schultz, Ph.D., RN, FAAN, well-known nurse researcher and scholar kicked off the event with a talk entitled 鈥淐linical Scholars and Thought Leaders.鈥 The morning ended with a moving presentation by Kelly Collins, RN, called 鈥淭he Addiction Within.鈥
