UNE鈥檚 Jane O鈥橞rien travels to Charleston for occupational therapy presentation and research

Jane O鈥橞rien, Ph.D., OTR/L, FAOTA, professor of Occupational Therapy at the University of 51小黄车, was the invited speaker at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) in Charleston.

O鈥橞rien gave a presentation titled, 鈥淎pplication of Strength-Based interventions using Model of Human Occupation.鈥 51小黄车Master of Occupational Therapy students from the Class of 2017, Heather Smith and Arielle Wrubleski, attended the presentation. The students are currently completing their level II fieldwork at MUSC. 51小黄车alum Stephanie Bliss (M.S.O.T., 鈥09), an occupational therapy clinician at MUSC, also attended the presentation.

During her trip to Charleston, O鈥橞rien also videotaped expert occupational therapy clinicians working with children as part of her sabbatical work. She is developing video cases to use for classwork on therapeutic reasoning in pediatrics.
