Twelve nursing students from the University of 51С»Æ³µ attended the National Student Nurses Association 64th Annual Convention, March 30 - April 3, in Orlando, Florida.

The annual convention offers opportunities for students to network with other students, faculty and nursing leaders from across the country. General sessions, seminars, workshops and poster presentations enhance students’ academic and clinical skills, and they can expand their network at social events and in the exhibit hall. Graduating seniors can gain confidence with the NSNA/Cengage Learning NCLEX-RN® Mini Review.

Klemczuk, BSN ‘16; and Kelli Sousa, BSN ‘16, presented posters of their evidence-based practice innovations projects. Halle Lehner, BSN ‘17, served as a delegate for the Maine SNA chapter. Also attending were Lauren Carlton, BSN '17; Kaitlin Devlin, BSN ‘17; Nicole Dion, BSN ‘17; and Chloe White, BSN ‘17.

NSNA’s highest policy-making body, the House of Delegates, engages state and school chapter leaders in resolutions and elections. With a membership of 60,000 nationwide, the National Student Nurses' Association mentors the professional development of future registered nurses and facilitates their entrance into the profession by providing educational resources, leadership opportunities, and career guidance.
