Occupational Therapy graduate Abigail Farniok publishes article in ‘OT Practice Magazine’

An article by Abigail Farniok, M.S.O.T. ’16, been published in the July 2016 edition of OT Practice Magazine, a national periodical.

In the piece, titled “Productivity Requirements as a Level II Fieldwork Student,” Farniok discusses her experience at a skilled nursing facility where she worked prior to graduating from UNE. She describes the challenges faced in striving to meet productivity standards while providing client-centered, holistic care. Farniok also includes time management tips for rising fieldwork students.

“We are very proud of Abigail’s initiative and professionalism in writing and publishing this article,” said Kathryn Loukas, O.T.D., M.S., O.T.R./L., F.A.O.T.A., interim program director and clinical professor of Occupational Therapy. “It is a great honor for our department to have a student publish so soon after graduation”.
