‘Journal Tribune’ publishes column by Amy Davidoff on heart health in 'York County Health & Wellness'
A column by Amy Davidoff, Ph.D., professor of biomedical sciences in the College of Osteopathic Medicine, was recently published in the Journal Tribune’s monthly publication York County Health & Wellness.
Davidoff contributed a piece for the publication’s January/February issue that focuses on heart disease awareness.
“Heart Smart: Easier said than done?” discusses realistic behavioral modifications that can help lower the risk of heart disease. She stresses the importance of setting goals that are not overwhelming. “What will small, measureable goals do?” she asks. “They can help us change unhealthy habits in a way that is realistic and sustainable.”
Davidoff continues, “Denying ourselves things we love is not realistic, but if we start cutting down on portions or swap an apple for potato chips twice a week, it is a start.”
