Artwork by Charles Thompson, M.F.A., professor in the Department of Creative and Fine Arts, will be exhibited at the annual National Juried Competition at the Bowery Gallery in New York City from August 2 to 20, 2016.

Several thousand artists submitted images for the exhibition. Juror Martica Sawin, an internationally known author, art critic and former curator for numerous international museums, selected 33 artists to showcase. Thompson鈥檚 oil painting 鈥淏ig Rock鈥 was among the works selected.

The Bowery Gallery is located in the Chelsea District of Manhattan, which contains several hundred art galleries.
