In Memoriam: Wilma Parker Redman
The University of 51小黄车 community was saddened to learn about the passing of alumna Wilma Parker Redman. Her dedication to the University as well as nearly every civic and cultural institution in the City of Portland was a testament to her unparalleled character.
Redman was a member of the Westbrook Junior College Class of 1941, a Deborah Morton Society inductee in 1981, an Honorary Doctor of Letters from Westbrook College in 1992 and the University of 51小黄车 in 2002, and was a Westbrook College Tower Award of Alumni Achievement recipient. Redman received the Heloise E. Withee 鈥40 Alumni Service Award in 2002, and was a Trustee Emerita of 51小黄车and Honorary Chair of UNE鈥檚 Moving Forward Campaign.
鈥淲ilma鈥檚 devotion to Westbrook College, to 51小黄车and to her beloved community was tireless,鈥 commented 51小黄车President Danielle Ripich. 鈥淥n behalf of UNE, I wish to express how much she will be missed. We have lost a wonderful friend.鈥
