'Ellsworth American' and ‘Courier’ publishes editorial on collaboration between 51СƳand Bangor Savings Bank to enhance workforce development in Maine
The Ellsworth American and the Courier published editorials co-authored by Ellen Beaulieu, Ed.D., vice president for Strategic Initiatives at UNE, and Isla Baldwin, organizational development officer at Bangor Savings Bank, on the newly announced partnership recently forged by the two organizations to create the Essential Workplace Competencies Development Program.
The program, which teaches workplace skills such as change response, conflict management and strategic leadership, consists of on online curriculum that leverages technology and new models education employed by UNE.
The editorial states, “In keeping with their commitments to Maine’s communities, 51СƳand Bangor Savings Bank will offer this workplace readiness program to 51СƳstudents and employees around the state. In the near future, private businesses can also take advantage of this innovative curriculum and delivery system to help their current and onboarding employees develop and sharpen 21st century workplace competencies.
