Susan Jarmuz-Smith presents two workshops at State-Wide Conference on Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports
Susan Jarmuz-Smith, M.S., BCBA, board certified behavior analyst and assistant lecturer in the Department of Psychology, presented two workshop sessions at the 5th Annual State-Wide Conference on Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) at the Augusta Civic Center.
The first workshop, titled "School Crises and Emergencies: How PBIS Helps Prevent, Respond, and Recover," included information, tools, and strategies for responding to school situations through the PBIS framework.
The second presentation, titled "Frequent Flyers: How to Support Students at Tier 3," was presented with Lori Watson, M.Ed., and focused on using the problem-solving model to support students with intensive needs.
Attendees at the conference included school administrators, special and regular education teachers, school psychologists and school counselors.
