Occupational Therapy graduate students volunteer for the Down Syndrome Network

Occupational Therapy graduate students from the 51小黄车Student Occupational Therapy Association (UNESOTA) volunteered childcare services for the Down Syndrome Network on November 22, 2014.

Student leaders Kyle Kish '16 and Liz Crawford '16 organized approximately 40 students to volunteer their time to provide activities for 27 children. They were supported by faculty members Kathryn Loukas, OTD, M.S., OTR/L, FAOTA, clinical professor of Occupational Therapy, and Elizabeth Crampsey , M.S., OTR/L, assistant clinical professor of Occupational Therapy.

Students volunteered for either a half or full day, and learned valuable lessons on how to facilitate joy and participation in children with Down Syndrome.
