‘Huffington Post’ features Online School of Social Work’s domestic abuse infographic

On November 19, 2014, the Huffington Post published an infographic on the topic of domestic abuse that appears on the University of 51С»Æ³µâ€™s Online School of Social Work’s website. Also published was a story accompanying the infographic, explaining the purpose behind its creation.

"Is Domestic Violence a Bigger Problem than We Realize?" is a pictorial presentation of data that resulted from a collaboration with faculty experts in the School of Social Work to illustrate what the article describes as the "true extent of real-life everyday examples of abuse."

Danielle Wozniak, M.S.W., Ph.D., director of the School of Social Work, noted that she hopes the infographic will help raise awareness of the issue of domestic violence among social workers and prospective social workers.  "If you are a social worker, you can use your expertise in the area to have a direct impact reducing violence against women," she stated.
