Elizabeth De Wolfe awarded writing residency in Key West
Elizabeth De Wolfe, Ph.D., professor of History and chair of the Department of History and Philosophy, has been awarded a writing residency in Key West, Florida.
The Writer-in-Residence Program is sponsored by the Key West Literary Seminar and supports new and accomplished writers in "the production of compelling literary work." The Key West Literary Seminar was founded in 1983. Through a well-known annual literary seminar, in writers’ workshops, and with the Writer-in-Residence program, the organization supports the work of current authors and promotes the discussion and study of established authors and their works.
The residency provides housing in Key West. During De Wolfe’s residency in June, she will work on her book about an 1894 political scandal, tentatively titled The Congressman, the Mistress, and the Girl Spy: A Scandal of the Gilded Age.
