'Courier' features article on Emily Vasseur and Kaylie Viens teaching Biddeford students about recycling
On May 1, 2014, the Biddeford-Saco-OOB Courier reported on the efforts by Emily Vasseur and Kaylie Viens, to teach fourth- and fifth-graders at Biddeford Intermediate School about the important of recycling.
Vasseur and Viens, students in the Introduction to Environmental Issues course taught be Rick Peterson, Ph.D., associate professor in the Department of Environmental Studies, collaborated with Martin Grohman, chairman of the solid waste commission in Biddeford, on the presentation.
Vasseur, a double major in education and psychology, and Viens, an education major focusing on elementary education, previously visited Biddeford Primary School, where they presented to first-second-, and third-graders.
