Chuck Thompson’s paintings to appear in ‘River Show’ in Westbrook
On July 10, 2014, Keep Me Current published an article about the “River Show,” a collection of Presumpscot River-themed paintings in a Westbrook gallery, to which Chuck Thompson, B.S., M.F.A., professor of art, has contributed.
“River Show” is a joint project by the Saccarappa Art Collective and the nonprofit Friends of the Presumpscot River.
The Saccarappa Art Collective is a shared gallery space with eight members and a rotating roster of visiting artists. For the “River Show,” each member artist invited one visiting artist to participate. Thompson is one of the eight visiting artists who will display two paintings each in the exhibit, which opens on July 15.
In the article, Thompson expressed his eagerness to participate in something that combines art and environmentalism. He stated that he loves “to support anything [he] can for saving our precious land and environment.”
