Center for Excellence in the Neurosciences partners with Island Institute for Trauma Recovery to provide continuing medical education series

The University of 51小黄车鈥檚 Center for Excellence in the Neurosciences (CEN) has partnered with the Island Institute for Trauma Recovery to offer a continuing medical education series, 鈥淏rainstorming: Neuroscience for Psychotherapists.鈥

Organized by licensed clinical social workers, Deborah Dana, Rudy Skowronski, Phil Deveau and Jen West, from the Island Institute for Trauma Recovery, sessions are being delivered by 51小黄车professors including: Frank Willard, Ph.D., professor of anatomy; David Mokler, Ph.D., professor of pharmacology; Michael Burman, Ph.D., assistant professor of psychology; and Glenn Stevenson, Ph.D., associate professor of psychology.

The five part series includes sessions on neuroanatomy, neurotransmitters, trauma, addiction and pain. Approximately 35 people have attended each session thus far.
