Thomas Chalmers McLaughlin to serve as panelist on homelessness in rural America
Thomas Chalmers McLaughlin, associate professor, director of MSW online education, and co-director for the Social Work Center for Research and Evaluation, has been selected as one of ten expert panelists to serve on Emerging Populations: Homelessness on the Frontier and in Rural America.
Maine is the most rural state in the U.S., and much of Dr. McLaughlin's research has focused on homelessness and barriers to being housed in this state. The expert panel will provide testimony to SAMSA, HUD, and HHS on the development of programs and policies around homelessness and housing.
