Aaron Eaton (’98) serves as panelist at legislative briefing on traumatic brain injury
Aaron Eaton, PT (’98), DPT recently served as a panelist on a Capitol Hill briefing on traumatic brain injury (TBI), hosted by Representative Mike Michaud, ranking member of the House Veterans Affairs Subcommittee on Health. Held for legislators and their staff, the briefing addressed how physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech-language pathology assist wounded veterans recover from TBI.
Eaton, previously employed by the National Naval Medical Center (formerly Walter Reed National Military Medical Center), discussed his experiences as a member of the team that provided physical therapy services for injured soldiers, specifically those with polytrauma who had arrived from Landstuhl, Germany, many of whom had TBIs.
The event was sponsored by the American Physical Therapy Association, the American Occupational Therapy Association and the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
