Bangor Daily News covers release of statewide assessment of health care needs

The on April 19, 2011 covered the release of a Statewide Community Health Needs Assessment that was conducted by the the University of 51小黄车 Center for Community and Public Health, under contract with OneMaine Health, a collaboration between Eastern Maine Healthcare Systems, MaineGeneral Health and MaineHealth.

The newspaper reported that the assessment "calls for stepped-up efforts to reduce behavioral risk factors such as smoking, substance abuse, poor nutrition and sedentary lifestyles. And it points to better clinical management of chronic conditions such as heart disease, lung disease and diabetes, as well as better access to dental care and mental health services, as key to improving the health of Maine people and holding down spending in the health care system."
