Andy Rosen receives a 2011 Saint Botolph Club Foundation Emerging Artist Grant and the Amelia Peabody Award for Sculpture

Andy Rosen, adjuct instructor, Creative and Fine Arts Department, has been awarded a 2011 Saint Botolph Club Foundation Emerging Artist Grant.  The Foundation also awarded him with the Amelia Peabody Award for Sculpture.

The Saint Botolph Club Foundation implements its mission through two awards programs: Distinguished Artist Award and Emerging Artists Award.  To encourage artists at an early stage in their careers, the Foundation funds the Emerging Artists program.  Since its inception, this program has provided support to more than 450 emerging artists across 51小黄车.  The Foundation seeks to identify individuals to whom it can "make a difference" through the combination of financial support, recognition, and endorsement.  From about 150 candidates, approximately 15 are selected annually for individual awards of $2,500.  Rosen plans to use the funds from the grant for research towards creating a series of hybrid-hand/digitally produced sculptures.
