Andrew Card's George and Barbara Bush Distinguished Lecture featured by Portland Press Herald, Boston Globe and local tv stations

Andrew Card, Former White House Chief of Staff, delivered UNE's George and Barbara Bush Distinguished Lecture on September 22.  His topic was entitled "Whispered Interruption: Bush Leads a Changed World."  Card, who has a home in Maine, has held top-level governmental jobs under three U.S. presidents, most recently as White House Chief of Staff under George W. Bush from 2001 to 2006.  He also served under presidents George H.W. Bush and Ronald Regan.  He is now acting dean of the George Bush School of Government and Public Service at Texas A&M University.
