Ali Ahmida interviewed by WCSH TV on Egyptian crisis
Ali Abdullatif Ahmida, Ph.D., professor and chair of the Department of Political Science, was interviewed by WCSH 6 News for a story on the demonstrations and crisis in Egypt. The interview ran on WCSH and WLBZ on Jan. 30, 2011. In the interview Ahmida discusses the political unrest that led to the uprisings in Egypt and also discusses what the response of U.S. governmental officials means for both Egypt and the United States. Ahmida is the author of several books, including Post-Orientalism: Critical Reviews in North African Social and Cultural History and The Making of Modern Libya: State Formation, Colonization, and Resistance 1830-1932.
