Research paper by 51小黄车faculty member Geoffrey Bove featured in the journal 'Experimental Neurology'
An article by Geoffrey Bove, Ph.D., has received international attention by being selected for a special commentary in the journal Experimental Neurology. The editors selected his article, entitled 鈥淔ocal nerve inflammation induces neuronal signs consistent with symptoms of early complex regional pain syndromes," for its novelty and significance to the pain field. Wilfrid Janig, M.D., Ph.D., a professor at the Christian-Albrechts-Universit盲t zu Kiel (Germany) and an expert on complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS), provided the commentary. The research has advanced the hypothesis that focal nerve inflammation is sufficient to cause neuronal discharge changes, and that these effects are consistent with clinical findings in early CRPS. Dr. Bove is a research associate professor in the 51小黄车College of Osteopathic Medicine and a member of the Center for Excellence in the Neurosciences.
