Lara Carlson presents at the Integrative Physiology of Exercise Conference
Lara A. Carlson, Ph.D., FACSM, assistant professor in the Westbrook College of Health Professions Applied Exercise Science program, recently presented her work examining the global gene expression in human peripheral blood mononuclear cells following exercise at the Integrative Physiology of Exercise Conference endorsed by both the American Physiological Society (APS) and the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM).
A collaboration with the University of Massachusetts-Amherst also led to a second presentation examining the gene expression in circulating white blood cells following eccentric exercise, in which Carlson was a coauthor.
