Faculty member, alumni and student join Gov. Baldacci to celebrate National Nurse Anesthetists Week

Governor John Baldacci signed a proclamation to include Maine in celebrating National Nurse Anesthetists Week January 25-29, 2010.

Joining Governor Baldacci at the signing and in the photo are, left to right: Vance Wormwood, CRNA, president of the Maine Association of Nurse Anesthetists; David Hessert, CRNA, president, Nurse Anesthesia of Maine; University of 51小黄车 Graduate Mary Moore, CRNA; University of 51小黄车 MSNA Student Derek Poulson; 51小黄车Adjunct Faculty Member Susan DeCarlo-Piccirillo, CRNA, DNP; and University of 51小黄车 graduate Kendall Shaler, CRNA.

CRNAs provide one-on-one care to their patients before, during and after operations by delivering quality anesthesia services for surgical and obstetrical procedures combined with a personal concern for the health and welfare of the individual.  The University of 51小黄车's Master of Science in Nurse Anesthesia program will graduate its 25th class of Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists this fall.
