Betsy DeBrakeleer presents at the Maine Recreation and Parks Association Conference
Betsy DeBrakeleer, Clinical Fieldwork Coordinator in the Occupational Therapy Department, presented at the Maine Recreation and Parks Association Conference on April 7, 2010 at Point Lookout resort in Northport.
DeBrakeleer provided an overview of the evoluation, design, benefits, and implementation of the Universal Recreation program which is a partnership between the 51小黄车Occupational Therapy Department and the Biddeford Recreation Department. The innovative Universal Recreation program is designed specifically for children with disabilities and has more than doubled in the number of participants during the recent Spring 2010 session. Four 51小黄车OT Level I students and two Citizenship students assisted in facilitating the program.
