Associate Professor, Geoffrey Bove presents at the 2nd “Highlighting Massage Therapy in Complementary and Integrative Medicine Research” Conference
Geoffrey Bove, D.C. Ph.D., associate professor in the College of Osteopathic Medicine and faculty in the Center for Excellence in the Neurosciences, moderated a session on massage therapy research and its connections with relief of pain and anxiety. This conference was supported by the Massage Therapy Foundation and took place in Seattle, WA from May 13-15, 2010. Seven world-renowned researchers and clinicians in the field took part in this conference with a focus on translational research and public health. The conference included two panel discussions, sixty research presentations and posters, and experimental workshops. Upon his return home from this conference he wrote up a summary of the events and submitted it to the Journal of Bodywork and Movement Therapies (JBMT) for publication, a journal in which he recently accepted a position as an associate editor.
