Amy Keirstead publishes article in Nanotechnology
Amy Keirstead, assistant professor in the Department of Chemistry and Physics, recently co-authored a paper entitled 鈥1-(3鈥-Amino)propylsilatrane derivatives as covalent surface linkers to nanoparticulate metal oxide films for use in photoelectrochemical cells鈥, Nanotechnology 20 (2009), 505203-1-505203-10. This work presents a novel method for attaching dyes to semiconductor surfaces to be used in dye-sensitized solar cells, where the new linker is thought to give rise to a more efficient photovoltaic cell than the traditional linkage systems.
