UNECOM and Gold Foundation announce 2008-09 Humanism in Aging Leadership Awards
University of 51小黄车 College of Osteopathic Medicine and Arnold P. Gold Foundation announced the winners of the Humanism in Aging Leadership Award on March 12, 2009.
The awardees are:- First Place: Sunny Raleigh, D.O., 4th-year UNECOM resident, and Corrie Anderson, MS I.
- Third Place: Katherine S. Hayes, MS I.
This award contest offered UNECOM pre-doctoral and post-graduate candidates an active learning opportunity from which to envision their future practice related to the recognized work of a nationally known mentor in aging, Janice A. Knebl, DO, MBA, FACOI, FACP, CMD ,who was awarded the UNECOM/Gold Foundation Humanism in Aging Leadership Award on November 12, 2008 at UNECOM.
They each received an engraved plaque and a check.
Arnold P. Gold Foundation
The Arnold P. Gold Foundation, which funded these awards, advances humanism in medicine and perpetuates the tradition of the caring doctor. This is accomplished through: (1) innovative medical education; and (2) promoting and affirming more compassionate medical care and caregivers.
