Acknowledging Black Trauma and Its National Effects

6:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Free and open to the public

What is black trauma? How can understanding black trauma and the damage it creates in individual and collective lives help us to think about the nation鈥檚 racial inheritance? Using a case study from the mass movement for civil rights, this lecture encourages a rethinking of activism, trauma, and its legacies鈥攑articularly given today鈥檚 current racially-charged political climate.
